Box Design in Windhoek

TF Impact Studio designs product boxes, gift boxes and shipping cartons in Windhoek for brands across Namibia. A box is often the first thing a customer touches, whether it is a cosmetics carton on a pharmacy shelf, a presentation box for a bottle of gin or a mailer carton for online orders. We design the artwork so the box looks right from every side, folds correctly and carries all the information the product needs.

Boxes are printed flat and then cut, creased and glued, so the artwork has to be built on a dieline, the technical template that shows every panel, flap and fold. We work to the dieline supplied by your box manufacturer, or help you source a standard dieline for common styles such as tuck-end cartons, crash-lock bases, mailer boxes and lid-and-base gift boxes. Panels are laid out so text reads the right way up after folding and important faces are not hidden by flaps.

Before anything is manufactured we produce a printed mock-up you can hold. Folding a real sample reveals problems that a flat proof hides, such as a logo cut off by a crease, a barcode on a face that ends up against the wall or type that is too small to read on the finished box. Fixing these at the mock-up stage is quick and inexpensive. Fixing them after a production run of several thousand cartons is not, which is why we never skip this step.

We do not manufacture boxes ourselves. Once you have approved the design we supply print-ready artwork to your box supplier and can liaise with them on colour, finish and proofing so the printed result matches what you signed off. For short runs of small boxes we can also print and hand-finish limited quantities in-house, which suits gift sets, samples and market trials before you commit to a factory run with a converter.
